People from all over the world schedule private tele-sessions with Mort Fertel and seek his counsel by joining the Marriage Fitness Tele-Boot Camp. He is the author of Marriage Fitness Audio Learning System and the creator of Marriage Fitness Home-Flex, the most comprehensive relationship home learning kit in the world. Over 150,000 people a year subscribe to his free report “7 Secrets to Fixing Your Marriage.”
Mort Fertel is the subject of Back from the Brink, a documentary written and directed by Toroes Thomas, which chronicles people in marriage crisis.
Mort Fertel graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1987, was the CEO of an international non-profit organization, and a former marathon runner. He lives with his wife and 5 children (including triplets!) in Baltimore, Maryland.
Marriage Fitness is a step-by-step relationship-changing system that restores broken marriages.
Traditional marriage counseling and most relationship books offer problem solving strategies and communication skills. But tackling marriage problems stress-out a relationship and make a bad marriage worse. And communication absent connection fails.
With Marriage Fitness, you’ll learn to neutralize your problems and put into practice a system of relationship habits that will shift the momentum of your marriage. And the best news is—you don’t have to dig into your past, dredge up your problems, or practice communication techniques. This is not marriage counseling; it’s Marriage Fitness!
Some Marriage Fitness programs offer a Lone Ranger Track, which is designed for people dealing with an uncooperative spouse and who are doing the program alone. Using Marriage Fitness, a marriage can be transformed by one spouse. In the Lone Ranger Track, you’ll learn how to single-handedly improve your marital situation and inspire your spouse to join you in the process of renewing your marriage.
Well, I must say, in reviewing Mort's program, it did not live up to what was promised or expected—it EXCEEDED it, and by a mile.
Much of what we find in books, self-help manuals, and online is 85% fluff and fuzzy theories that no one can possibly apply, and 15% somewhat-practical advice. But people in crisis or overwhelmed in their relationship are looking for SOLUTIONS, not abstract generalities.
From a psychological point of view, Mort’s program is sound advice. From a solutions and results point of view, it hits the nail on the head. And from an emotional point of view, it offers not only encouragement and hope, but gives the confidence needed to do what needs to be done to breathe new life into a relationship on life support.
And for those of us clinicians who train and supervise new counselors, this would be the perfect source for solution-focused, brief-therapy skills training, because they never learn this kind of no-nonsense, get-results strategies in grad school.
I suspect that many marriage and family counselors and divorce lawyers might not appreciate or be big fans of the "Marriage Fitness" program. Why? Because if those going through the "valley of the shadows" in their marriages get their hands on these tools--and apply these simple methods--they might never need professional help at all. Applying the simple tips and strategies in Mort Fertel's program can quickly transform your relationship into a beauty-from-ashes story with a very happy ending.

I was desperate cried and begged. I found Marriage fitness. After 9 months of saying get out she said "how do we heal?" It's been 4 months since our reconciliation and we feel a sense of optimism.
